This a half day slow sensory adventure

This is the perfect sensory slow experience where you will feel restored, re-connected and re-energised. Join Meditation Coach and Shinrin Yoku (‘forest-bathing’) Practitioner Ann and Ring of Gullion Ambassador, Guide and Storyteller Venora.

De-stress with a gentle mindful walk on the slopes of Feede mountain and learn about the powerful holistic benefits of ‘forest – bathing’. Connect with the landscape, history and stories listening to tales of legendary warriors like Cu Chulann and the Flurry Valley Forage in season and learn about healing plants along the way…

We will travel a short distance across the Ancient East, through the historic Gap of the North to visit an old traditional farmhouse, home of Venora and Iain Hovelt. The house, garden and orchard is set against the backdrop of the beautiful Cooley hills. Iain is a food artisan of “Drumnasilla,” making homemade chutneys, award winning curd and jams and country cordials.

Enter the cosy cottage and Immerse yourself in the sensory experience of a mindful lunch of onion, lentil & rosemary soup, homemade bread, local cheeses, chutneys and preserves created by Iain and for dessert his award winning lemon curd compote with natural spring water, cordials, tea, coffee and herbal infusions.

"I loved the sensory experience of the nutritious, delicious, colourful food. It made me much more conscious of eating slowly, while taking the time to engage the senses and enjoying the food."
